Next Grand Milonga
Milonga de Julio
There is something about the middle of summer that asks something of us. The heat. The stillness. The way the nights feel heavier, fuller — like they're asking to be filled with something real. We answer with tango.

Where to Dance
Easy to find, easy to park, and a dedicated downstairs floor for social dancing.

Milonga Etiquette
Milongas follow traditional codes that create a respectful, enjoyable experience for everyone. Here's what to know.
The Cabeceo
We use the traditional cabeceo (eye contact invitation) to ask for dances. Make eye contact, nod slightly, and if accepted, meet on the dance floor.
Tandas & Cortinas
Music is played in sets of 3-4 songs (tandas) separated by a short musical break (cortina). It's customary to dance the full tanda with one partner.
Line of Dance
Move counter-clockwise around the floor. Be aware of couples around you and avoid collisions.
Respect the Embrace
The embrace is an invitation, not a demand. Respect your partner's comfort level and boundaries.
Your First Milonga
What to Wear
Dress nicely but comfortably. Many dancers dress up a bit—it adds to the atmosphere. Bring dance shoes or smooth-soled shoes.
When to Arrive
Arrive when you like. Some prefer the beginning when it's quieter; others come later when the energy builds. There's no wrong time.
It's Okay to Watch
You don't have to dance every tanda. Sitting out, watching, and enjoying the music is part of the experience. Take your time.
We're Here to Help
Our community is welcoming. If you're new, let us know—we'll make sure you feel comfortable and help you navigate the evening.
